Although we have grown so much in world population, which has in itself caused many of us to become selfish in much of our behavior,
I think we still have a deep rooted sense to help one another.
Our housing has changed, either because of the 'want' to be secluded, or vice-versa......we have become more secluded because our housing has changed.....[huh? what?]
NO MORE FRONT PORCHES !
We have also become a society where it requires both husband and wife to work. We stay busy, and sometimes only cross paths at home during the changing of guards.....or when one is leaving for work, the other is coming home.
And if you have young children, it's softball, school functions, dance lessons, etc., and hopefully Cub, Boy, and Girl Scouts.
We don't relax much. We are always running. That translates to not sleeping well, which may tend to make us grumpy.
When we're grumpy, we tend to not tolerate small things that others around us do, nor do they tolerate some acts by us, and that can cause us to be selfish in nature and isolate us more from the general public.
BUT.....we still have that human nature that GOD made into us, and occasionally you see others go far out of their way to help another, and it usually is a stranger.
Even the Bible talks about taking care of the elderly and the young.....and about fellowship.
Animals fellowship. Sometimes it is the only protection they have to ward off danger and survive.
We need to fellowship also.....we learn from each other. We also need to have fun together..........laughter is good medicine.
Together we stand---Divided we fall
