One of the most important parts of preparedness in the event of a emergency situation is decision making. All types of decisions will have to be made, from simple meal selection to the taking of a human life. We all think that if push came to shove, we could kill but could we. This is something you may have to deal with so I advise you to spend a lot of time thinking about it.
Here are some questions you should ask yourself
1. In a life and death situation, is it going to be him or me?
2. At which point in the scenario will I shoot?
3. Should I shoot to wound or kill?
4. Am I going to be haunted for killing, for the rest of my life?
5. Should I shoot first?
6. Should I wait, maybe he won't hurt me?
7. If there are more than one should I shoot them all?
8. Suppose one of them is a female?
9. He has a knife, I have a gun, is that fair?
10. I'm in my own home, should I just run?
Here are the short answers you should have come up with
1. If he forceably enters your home, he's a dead man
2. The very second that you feel you life is in danger
3. A wounded man can still kill you - Shoot to kill!
4. Maybe but you will be alive
5. If there is a visible weapon, you may not get a second chance
6. Waiting could be fatal
7. If the rest flee or give up after you shoot one, refrain from firing.
8. Girls can kill too
9. You betcha
10. Some laws says, yes but I wouldn't want to get shot in the back either
You might want to check the laws in your state but a lot of it is good ole' common sense. One other thing, a man doesn't have to have a weapon to kill you. I would rather be arrested for killing a man than having to look down on my grave.
