First: Couldn't really find an area that fit this, so I placed it here, as being closest matched. Mods, feel free to move it, if you see it being in another area.
I saw this the other day, and I do think it would make a great addition to anyone's home furnishings. In fact, if you are good with woodworking, you could probably design your own.
Be sure to also checkout the end table.

I bet a good cabinet maker locally could help build or fit something like this into the house, at a reasonable cost too! The challanging thing would be to find the special locks, and hinges.

My wifes son-in-law owns a cabinet shop and they have been looking for a good project. Might be just the thing!

The locks are readily available that they use, any good cabinet hardeware shop has them. The hidden hinges may be SOSS, depending on what area they are used. SOSS hinges are several flat plates on top of each other, pinned together to hinge. I have used them many times to make 'hidden' doors and using a 'touch latch' that is spring loaded, similar to what you see on glass doors on entertainment centers. You can incorporate this type of 'hidden' door in many places in your home......not that I would......or know anything about it.
