4 cups fresh strawberries divided
1 1/2 cup boiling water
2 packages 3oz each red jello you flavor choice
i cup cold water ice cubes
1 12oz pound cake cut into 10 slices
1 1/3 cup fresh blueberries divided
1 8oz tub cool whip
Slice 1 cup strawberries, cut remaining in half.
Add boiling water to jello mixes in a large bowl stir until jello is completely dissolved, add enough ice to the 1 cup cold water to make it 2 cups, add to jello, stir til ice is melted completely, refrigerate 5 minutes, or til slightly thickened.
Meanwhile cover bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish with cake slices side by side close together. Add sliced strawberris and 1 cup blueberries to thickend jello. Stir gently, spoon over cake, refrigerate 4 hours or til firm.
Spread cool whip over dessert, top with fruit to resemble flag using strawberries for stripes & blueberries for stars.
Love this it's truly 4th of July when this cake comes out!!
