Save money ? Shoot more ? I don't think I have saved a single penny by loading my own versus buying ammo off the shelf. In fact, I may have spent more.
Every gun shoots different. Loading your own makes it possible to 'build' an accuracy load for that particular gun.
Shelf ammo.....what's in it ? There are many 'badass' calibers on the market, but many commercially made rounds are sold on the shelves with far less 'power' than the round was created for, unless you go to brands like Buffalo Bore or similar 'boutique' ammo. Not that you need the maximum powder charge and power to be effective or accurate. I simply prefer to KNOW what it is made from/with.
I love to shoot. I love to hit where I aim. I load my own.
