Here is a little story about my Granddad, A Railroad Man Living in Florida at the time, my granddad was an old train engineer and had also been a telegrapher early in his career and had developed some strange habits. He would only eat on a metal plate, would only drink from a metal cup, usually an empty tin peach can. He had a rude practice of tapping out Morse code on his metal plate with his fork continuously while eating, driving the rest of us crazy, dit dit dit, dot dot..... Grandma said "Raymond!", she only used Raymond when she was really upset, "if you don't stop that infernal tapping, you're going to be eatin' outside". "What message are you sending anyway", she asked. Still tapping, granddaddy calmly said, "if you knew that, Effie, I would have be eatin' outside for years"! ;D
