School Flips Out Over a “Gun Shaped” Pop-Tart. Suspends 7yr. old.Read more: clashdaily.com/2013/03/school-flips-out-over-a-gun-shaped-pop-tart-suspends-7yr-old/#ixzz2MfkdN6IARecently, we have had kids suspended from school for being kids, what the hell is going on with our schools. There was the kid who had a piece of paper crudely resembling a gun, suspended. The kid who told another kid, his teacher was cute, sexual harassment. Kids refusing to recite the Mexican equivalent of our Pledge of Allegiance, suspended. Kids wearing patriotic tee-shirts, suspended. I just don't get it, the folks in charge our learning institutions are adults, aren't they. Why won't they stand up for what's right and abandon their stupid actions. What's it going to take to turn it around, it is probably much too late for that to happen in my lifetime but it's got to be done and we better get started, today!

Unions were a great thing......in the Woodie Guthrie days. They protected the people, the way they were designed to. Then they became corrupt with money and power. Our school system is no exception. It no longer has anything to do with what is wrong or right, but doing as you are told, and if you are a good little teacher, we may give you tenure.....but first, you must prove your allegiance to the system.
We no longer have the Joe Clark's for principals [Movie : Lean On Me from 1989 with Morgan Freeman], a true story, or the movie The Principal [1987] with Jim Belushi and Louis Gossett Jr.
Re-writing the history books, putting very young children on hallucinogenic and psychotropic drugs, passing them to the next grade without learning, and many other things that leads to the decay of society...... I personally believe it is thoroughly known by the leaders of the school system EXACTLY what is going on, and they understand it to be equally as idiotic as we do.......but they have sworn their allegiance to their leaders, and have no will to go against the grain......or maybe they really have been brainwashed, at least further down the line at the principal and teacher levels.

Ya know... I grewup and watched so many shows with guns, as I am sure many of you have. Hmmm.... We had all the old cowboy movies and TV shows, HopAlong Casedy, Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, Zoro, Davy Crocket, Sgt Preston of the Yukon, RawHide, The Rifleman, Bonanza, Wild West, Maverick, John Wayne. There were also all the old WWII type shows and movies, and the spy shows.
We had our toy six guns & holsters, Davy Crockett coonskin caps, played with our toy soldiers, most likely had BB guns at an early age.
So, with all of this "BAD INFLUENCE" on TV and with our toys, why didn't we turn out so bad? The rules in schools and "0" tolerence were unheard of when I was young.
All this being said, I guess we cannot blame Hollywood as it was there when we were kids. But, we did have parents with good morals and values. We did get out and play and interact, and we didn't have video games. Our youth of today, IMO, have become so desensatized. What do you think has brought this on?
My head hurts sometimes when I try and figure it out.

And the Christmas tree forts....with war against the neighborhood kids....... Didn't bother me none, bother me none, bother me none...... I am still sane, ask my other personality ! We had family units INTACT ! Remember your Mom saying......."wait til your Dad gets home"..... you knew your ass was grass. We have too much of 'Hey, that's my baby's Daddy' and 'that's my baby girl's Momma'....... Ain't no more Ozzie and Harriet.......Leave it to Beaver....!

It's a damn shame, but you are so right, I wanna go back to the good ole' days! If it were not for those good ole' days to remember, we would just dry up and blow away!

Brother, as much as we detest..... In the end , we all dry up... and depending on what our family does with our carcass, depends on if it's even possible to let us simply 'blow away'. BUT, I understand what you said. I hope when my body is done, she takes the cheapest route to dispose of me..... and if it is ashes I become.....let me blow away in the wind ! Do not grieve over me [ha, like anyone would] and get rid of my stinking ass..... in the cheapest possible way....quickly. You will get your just reward after I'm gone...... I will haunt your home and keep turning the pictures on your wall sideways, and re-arrange everything in your house....... just to let you know I love you and I'm thinking about you ! How about that for the aftermath?
